Hi guys, I hope that this week has been treating you well so far. I’m currently in New York, covering a few things for Fashion Week but I’m back on the blog today, to share some exciting news about a new project! Over the last few weeks, I’ve been working closely with Clarks Canada on a cool initiative, called #ClarksMashup.
#ClarksMashup is inspired by the brand’s Trigenic line of shoes, which btw is super comfortable. The project is about bridging the gap between old school craftsmanship and new world technology! We’ve brought together three cool creatives, Shaz a woodworker and Amir + Simon from Derooted , a creative tech agency to create an art installation using both mediums.
Clarks (a leader in the fashion industry), knows the importance of staying true to their traditional roots, while incorporating innovative technology into their products. It’s very visible in their Trigenic line and they wanted to see what could be done in other creative fields if they were brought together!
What’s my role in the project? I’ll be helping the group tell their story from start to finish! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be in a woodworker’s studio? Or the ins-and-outs of 3D projection? You’ll be able to get a glimpse of that & more throughout this project.
Stay tuned to the blog and the #ClarksMashup hashtag on social (Instagram + Twitter) to see behind-the-scenes footage of our working sessions along with the unveiling of the art installation on September 28th!
