Warm weather, laying out by the pool and tropical travel is finally upon us and it seems like it’s here to stay for a few months. This is my favourite time of the year and I plan on making the most of it. That being said, I find that my regular schedule gets a little more hectic and because of that my training schedule gets a little lighter. If you’re like me, you worked really hard over the winter months to have the body that you want and now is the time to show it off. Now that I can’t spend as much time in the gym I had to find a way to not only maintain what I’ve worked hard for but still see more results.
Shockwave is one of my favourite classes at Equinox and it checks off two main focuses for my summer training program 1. full body workouts and 2. high intensity training. A 45 minute session that gets your heart rate up with various circuit challenges that can consist of rowing, the use of body bars, kettle bells and Bosu balls just to name a few. You know that saying “The more you give, the more you get back”? It’s honestly the truth when it comes to this class, if you go in there and push yourself really hard throughout the whole class, the results can be insane. I definitely recommend trying it out!
