So, if you’re into sneakers you’re definitely familiar with the collaborations that have been going on with Off-White and Nike. Last week, my friends from Nike surprised me with a pair of the Off-White x Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit sneakers and I haven’t been able to take them off! They’re super light, comfortable and pretty much complete my summer uniform (cut-off tees, shorts and high knee socks). They drop tomorrow at select Nike stores and online. If you’re able to cop a pair, I’d definitely recommend getting them!
So, I shot this look for an Instagram project that I worked on recently for Nordstrom, but I felt it was only fair to share the images on the blog too! I love this look, to me it’s effortless yet stylish and giving me a total New York summer vibe. You know, like in the middle of July when it’s humid and sunny and you just throw on a loose print shirt and some jeans? That’s exactly where it takes me haha! Prints and pattern shirts are almost the only things I’m really into at the moment, so take this as your warning that you’ll be seeing a lot of them this season!
WHAT I’M WEARING
So, I’m currently in the middle of figuring out what my official vibe for spring/summer 18 is going to consist of. Last summer, I was obsessed with the whole athleisure movement and as a result, my day-to-day vibe was basically that. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m getting older (sigh…I hate to admit it) but I’ve been so much more open to dressing more sharper on a regular basis.
Not only am I more open to dressing sharper, I’ve become much more open to playing with colours, like I did in New Orleans.
Speaking of New Orleans, one trend that I really pushed while I was out there and I think will stick with me throughout spring/summer, is the wide leg trouser! I don’t know what it is but I think that they’re so cool and really add something to the dynamic of an outfit.
For this look, I styled a pair of wide leg trousers from Perry Ellis with a short sleeve crew neck, some flashy glasses and a pair of classic white sneakers. Personally, this look is giving me total life right now! It’s simple yet classic but at the same time the trousers and accessories elevate the vibe completely. You could catch me wearing this look at a daytime event, a lunch meeting or brunch on the weekend.
WHAT I’M WEARING
Last Friday, I had the opportunity to attend one of the biggest celebrations in the arts & fashion industry in Canada. The CAFA awards are in their 6th year of highlighting different areas of the industry and this years celebration was the best one yet.
I had the opportunity of attending the awards ceremony dinner and afterparty with the Simons team. Since I was a little boy, I’ve always equated my family trips to Montreal with a visit or two to Simons. In the last few years, I’ve developed a closer relationship to the brand through attending press previews and store openings in Toronto. On every occasion the team has always been so welcoming of me, so to be invited to attend this year’s show with them was a great experience!
I’m not the biggest fan of dressing up on my day to day but for special occasions, I do love to switch things up! I wanted to wear something fashion forward, that made a statement and represented the kind of talent that resides in Canada. I opted to wear this look, from the talented designer Ross Mayer of Mayer Man.
This look is an ode to the past, the present and the future. The classic mixed material bomber is a statement piece and I wanted it to stay that way. I opted to accessorize with pieces that would compliment the bomber and elevate the look like, the cashmere turtleneck, the beret and footwear. I chose these pants, as they were classic yet different with the incorporation of the fringe detailing.
Beret’s are such a hot trend at the moment and I’m in love with the fact that people are embracing it but I chose to incorporate it into my look for its history. I took inspiration from it being a statement piece in the Black Panther movement.
I’m in love with this look and for everything that it stand for so I hope that you guys like it as well. Thank you to the CAFA’s for continuing to support Canadian talent, Simons for the invitation and Mayer Man for helping me put this look together!
Hi guys – I’m back on the blog today with a cozy spring time look that I shot before the crazy ice storm hit Toronto! Can you believe that we had an ice storm in the month of April?! It’s absolutely insane to me! I swear if the weather doesn’t get warm quickly, I’ll have no choice but to go on a long beach vacation (no joke haha!).
I love this look, it’s so me at the moment. I love the oversized, Japanese street style aesthetic it’s inspired from. From the oversized denim jacket, to the wide leg pants to the chunky sneakers, I think they all compliment each other so well.
Whenever I’m in Toronto, I’m always on the go and my goal is to always be comfortable but not look like a blob at the same time (haha), so this outfit works for me. I could wear this to a collection preview, to do stylist pulls and attend a lunch meeting – while still being stylish and comfortable.
Christian WHAT I’M WEARING
It’s been a while since I’ve been somewhere for the first time and until my most recent trip, I didn’t realize how much I miss that feeling. Earlier in the month, my cousins and I decided to take a trip to New Orleans. I’m not even sure why we decided on New Orleans as our destination but I’m really glad that we did.
To be honest, I didn’t know much about the city other than, it was hit really badly by the hurricane a few years ago and that they’re known for having amazing food and great artist, oh and Mardi Gras!
I was open to just taking in as much of the culture and its unique beauty during the time that I was there.
I really don’t know how to explain New Orleans other than it’s like no other place that I’ve visited. At moments it made me feel like I was in Miami because of the palm trees, Paris because of the patio set ups outside of the restaurants, Portland because of the architecture in the Warehouse district and the Caribbean islands because of the colour palettes – it’s truly magical!
Mother’s Restaurant (the food was amazing here!)
A huge thing that made my experience in NOLA so exceptional was, the people! I’m not going to lie, I feel like the people in New Orleans restored my faith in humanity (seriously). Everyone was so friendly and so accommodating, it was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. To know and hear about all of the things that some of these people have endured with hurricane Katrina and to see how positive they are, it was so beautiful and refreshing!
I feel like the universe wanted me to see this city for many reasons and I’m so glad that I was able to. I’m not sure if I shared this on the blog before but I’m really into connecting with higher spirits and I’ve always had a fascination with psychics and their practices since I’ve been a kid (it’s not for everyone). I ended up doing some research on a boutique before arriving in the city, that provides psychic readings, spiritual guidance and sells crystals, called Earth Odyssey.
One afternoon while exploring the city, I ended up right in front of the store and decided to check it out! Luckily for me, they had an opening for a reading with their psychic and without hesitation I did it! It was honestly one of the most amazing experiences I have had and the reading was very accurate. If you’re into that stuff and happen to be visiting NOLA, I’d recommend stopping by.
As always, I took my camera and iPhone X around with me for you guys to get a glimpse into my trip! Feel free to scroll down and see some of my personal highlights.
Until my next adventure,

I don’t think I’ve ever embraced bright colours as much as I did on my recent trip to New Orleans. It’s crazy what visiting a new city and having some good weather will do to your personal style. I’m really loving the risks that I took with this look. It’s different from my everyday outfits but it really works, at least for me. I decided to keep it light and bright in terms of colours and tones. This is a look that I’d wear for a day of exploring or to attend an outdoor gathering in the Spring. It’s light and loose fitting, allowing you to breath and feel comfortable in warm weather.

So, this will be my last street style post from my New York trip! I am all caught up and ready for my next adventure, which happens to be, this weekend! I’m heading to New Orleans for the first time and I’m hella excited. It’s crazy because I think the part that gets me the most excited is the fact that I have no clue what to expect! I haven’t traveled somewhere new since Los Angeles in October (so nuts). As always, I’ll be documenting my trip for you guys so you’ll hear all about it (good or bad) haha!
Anyways, back to this look. I really like the way this outfit came together. The sneakers make it casual, yet the jacket gives it a more luxe vibe all at the same time. If I were to go on a lunch date in Soho, I would say this would be my perfect outfit!
WHAT I’M WEARING
I’ll never turn down a chance to visit New York and I’ll never visit New York without spending at least a day in Soho. There’s something about this area that really resonates with me and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The architecture, the colour palette, the boutiques, the cafés, the restaurants, I just can’t get enough!
I was in a mood this day and felt like dressing a little different than my usual ensembles. I got these plaid pants from H&M before heading to New York and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to break them in. I love the way that the outfit came together and Soho made for the perfect back drop to capture these photos – I hope that you guys enjoy them!
