New York Fashion Week… (sigh) where do I even begin? I told you guys that I was originally set to be in New York for a cool project that I was filming that coincided with Fashion Week (Women’s). I decided to extend my stay in the city to explore, shop and see a few more shows + presentations. I’ve only been to Fashion Week in New York once before which was a lot of fun but this time around the whole experience was kicked up to another level.
One thing that I’ve learned when it comes to traveling + work is that, it’s so important to have a great team with you and good friends (Shayna, Sean, Jay + Vanessa) – it really makes the experience so much better! From attending shows, to shooting street style, to presentations + appointments, late dinners to the after parties… there was never a dull moment.
As always, I had my camera with me + iPhone 7 (the camera changed my life, review coming shortly) documenting as much of my time away as I could. Keep scrolling down to see some of my favourite moments.
Shows + Presentations included in this post:
Club Monaco, Lacoste, Nina Tiari, J.Crew, Vivienne Tam, Chanel
Hi guys, so I’m finally back from a whirlwind of a week in New York. I’m currently working on a new project that coincidentally started filming during NYFW, which made this experience way cooler but a little more stressful haha! I can’t wait until I’m able to share more details about this project but just to give you guys a little heads up you’ll be getting to see me in a totally different light than you may be used to!
That being said, let’s get into this sh-look that I put together for the Lacoste FW17 runway show. This look was totally inspired by a previous outfit that I wore during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris last month. I was so in love with the effect that the pop of red gave in that look that I had to get the same serrated jacket in blue. The Lacoste show took place pretty early on a saturday morning so this was the perfect cozy yet stylish look for me to wear. I hope you guys are into it!

For quite some time now, I’ve been really into the whole monochromatic look when it comes to my everyday style. Last week, I was looking through my closet and found this bold red polo from Lacoste that I felt like I just needed to wear – please tell me that I’m not the only one that has these moments? I took a page out of my preppy handbook and kept this look super clean, I even tucked in my polo… to me, that’s commitment! It’s fun to switch things up every now and then & to keep people guessing. P.S… It’s the first few days of Spring, I hope you guys are all taking advantage of the sun finally being out past 5pm! Continue Reading…
First of all, I just want to wish you all a Happy New Year! The last few weeks have been a little crazy on my end with all the holiday commitments, planning content and projects for this year and everything else in between. Enough with the boring stuff though, this is my first style post of 2016 and it’s a good one I might add :)! I told myself this year, I’m going to experiment a little more with my wardrobe and I think this look is a great starting point. For me, army prints are always a hit or a miss, there’s no in between. The trick to making it a hit, is to 1. not over do it and 2. everything else has to compliment it. I decided to throw on a camo jacket over a basic sweatshirt, paired with some ripped denim (obviously) and completed the look with my new high top sneakers from Lacoste. It’s street, it’s edgy, it’s the perfect casual get up to start the year in!

It’s December 1st and as I sit down and write this travel post, I must say that the last half of this year has truly been a blessed one. One of the things that I love about being a blogger is that it opens doors to opportunities that can sometimes be life changing. Last month I got the opportunity to travel to the island of Tobago and learn a little bit about their lifestyle and fashion.
The great people at Fashion Vanguard invited us down to check out their inaugural fashion buyers exhibition. This exhibition showcased 9 reputable designers with roots from the island.
I, of course had my favourites and gravitated towards more of your staples/essentials from a brand titled I Say U Clothing. It’s cool to see what works in regards to fashion in other parts of the world and it’s even cooler to see the influence of different cultures reflected in the garments. Linen (for it’s breathability, I’m sure) was a common fabric used throughout a lot of the featured designers especially the menswear line, Millhouse. Neoprene, which is one of my favourite materials this year was very well displayed throughout some of the womenswear designers such as, Lush Kingdom. Photography by: Vitina Blumenthal for ChristianConfidential.comAfter taking in all the dope fashion, it was time to get a taste of the Tobago lifestyle. Beautiful weather, friendly people and great food (I tried shark for the first time), I’m not really sure what else I could’ve asked for. We spent some time at Pigeon Point beach, partied at the infamous ‘Shade’ nightclub and relaxed by the pool at our villa. All in all, this was a great experience and Tobago is filled with hidden gems and treasure both in fashion and lifestyle. If you’re looking for a destination to unwind and reflect, Tobago is a destination to consider. A special thank you to everyone that made our stay what it was especially; Jamilia, Karen, Kery & Kevon.
Until next time,
Hey guys, the weekend is finally upon us! If you’ve had a crazy week like I did, it’s time to let loose and turn all the way up! I put together a new style post that I think you guys are going to like. It’s simple, yet fun and oh so dope in my books. Let’s just say it’s a more edgy take on the ‘Canadian Tuxedo’. I grabbed my vintage denim vest, a grey long line sweatshirt, my new favourite pair of light wash denim and my latest kicks from Lacoste, the Showcourt. A classic silhouette from the brand with premium leather and intricate details that make them fairly easy to dress up or down. Naturally, I dressed them down! This is the perfect look if you’re looking for something that’ll give you comfort + style at the same time.

Hey guys, I hope that you’re all doing well. This is my latest style post featuring some new kicks that I got from Lacoste. I decided to switch things up from what I usually opt for when it comes to the brand (classic styles) and pick something a little more fun! I’m really into the contrast that the gum sole and upper leather area of the shoe create. It totally makes them pop compared to your typical navy offering. I decided to pair them with skinny jeans, a basic white tee from Son Of A Tailor and my leather motto jacket. Clean, stylish and casual, just the way I like it.

As promised, we’re back this week with part two of our ‘Street Style’ guide! The thing that I love about street style and fashion in general is that it’s totally your choice of how creative or simple you want to be with it. I always tell my boys that finding a happy medium within those two ends of the spectrum is the best way to go.
Don’t be afraid to go against the grain. Fashion is all about having fun and expressing yourself! Try on those fitted denim, rock those all black overalls! At the end of the day, you’ll know if it works for you or not.
As I mentioned in part 1 street
style is all about swag, and finding your own way of rocking an outfit is the fun part about it.
An easy way of bringing more depth into your outfit is by layering. Yes, layering, it’s not only for your preppy inspired looks anymore. Look at Kanye West
, one of my favourite street style guys, you’ll very rarely find him wearing only one tee or crewneck. Try experimenting with different lengths and fabrics when putting your outfits together. For example; I styled Daniel
with a simple denim button up
and complimented it with a long line tee underneath.
When in doubt dress from the bottom up. I don’t know if a lot of people do this or it’s just me because of my love of sneakers
but I tend to find it easier. Knowing the type of kicks that you want to wear and building your outfit around them is a trick that I like to use a lot.
Slender kicks are your best friends when it comes to skinny jeans and hi-tops are your best friends when it comes to joggers. If you’re on a budget grab yourself a pair of black and white Hi-Tops
! They pair well with the style of bottoms above, super versatile and the more you wear them, the more character they have.

Thanks for coming back and checking out part two of our ‘Street Style’ guide! Hopefully you guys found the tips informative and got to take a thing or two out of this post. As always, don’t be afraid to drop me a line if you have any questions or comments!
I love to travel, whether it’s a short trip to Miami with friends or a whirlwind adventure to Europe, I’m always down! With that being said, I don’t know about you but packing and making sure that I have everything before I head to the airport sometimes gives me anxiety. Did I bring the right amount of outfits? Am I overpacking? Did I remember to bring my passport? Ugh…It’s a lot! I’ve put together a little travel essential list to at least help you remember to pack these items as for me, they’re crucial.
1. camera 2. sunglasses 3. portable charger 4. rings 5. watch 6. magazines 7. comfortable shoes
Fashion week is about to wrap up in Toronto and as if that wasn’t enough fashion for me, I’m headed to Trinidad & Tobago to take in even more. My friends over at Fashion Vanguard have invited me to take a peak into their Buyer’s Exhibition this weekend and learn about the culture and lifestyle of Tobago. You guys know I’m a wanderer so I’ll be taking in as much of the experience and sharing it with you all on the blog and via social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat)!
Stay tuned & talk soon!
