I’ll never turn down a chance to visit New York and I’ll never visit New York without spending at least a day in Soho. There’s something about this area that really resonates with me and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The architecture, the colour palette, the boutiques, the cafés, the restaurants, I just can’t get enough!
I was in a mood this day and felt like dressing a little different than my usual ensembles. I got these plaid pants from H&M before heading to New York and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to break them in. I love the way that the outfit came together and Soho made for the perfect back drop to capture these photos – I hope that you guys enjoy them!

Don’t mind the title of this post, I’ve been listening to way too much rap these days haha! I’m really into this look and I hope that you guys are too! I got these pants from Publish Brand a while ago and wanted to find the perfect outfit to break them in with. I decided to pair them with a leather jacket, a black tank & some white sneakers. I don’t think I’ve ever tried wearing burnt orange before but I don’t think I’ll shy away from it anymore!

It’s Fashion Week here in Toronto, and in celebration of it my team and I wanted to do something special. We’ve put together a two part street style guide featuring some of my favourite pieces for the season. Within these visual guides, I’ve put together six looks that incorporate my essentials, statement pieces, minimalism, and swag. For me, when I think about what really draws me towards this style of dressing is that it embodies confidence. Not to take anything away from the dapper dudes, but 9 out of 10 guys look great in a suit, but with street style if it’s not done correctly you can very easily look like a hot mess. With street style it’s all about swag, you wear the clothes, don’t let the clothes wear you. I styled my friends (Daniel & Jay) and myself in looks that showcase my take on street style. Fitted joggers, bombers, motto jackets, oversized tees, long line tees and fresh sneakers…sigh, you can’t forget about the sneakers!
When it comes to building your sneaker collection, start with the classics and when in doubt opt for pairs in black, white or grey. They’ll play the best with your outfits and never go out of style.
I’ve said this before so it should come as no surprise that when it comes to clothes, as much as I search for dope fashion, I search just as much for comfort. Fashion Week is the perfect example for when opting for that edgy street look might come in handy. You’re running around from show to show to gift lounges to maybe even an after party or two! I don’t know about you but a pair of Tubulars
sound like the ideal pair of shoes to be sporting on days like that.
If you want to do street style right, a good item to have in your arsenal is a leather or faux leather jacket. The great thing about fast fashion these days is that you’re able to get nice pieces at affordable prices. For example; you wouldn’t believe how much the motto jackets that we’re wearing costs… you’ve gotta love Forever 21
Black is your best friend. I’ve never met a person that didn’t look great in black. It makes for the perfect base to build your outfits with, it’s super versatile and let’s you get away with repeating it more times than any other colour option. I stock up on black tanks, tees, basic sweatshirts and jeans all the time and it doesn’t have to cost you a lot.

If you read my blog regularly you’ve definitely picked up on my slight obsession for everything black & leather, especially when it comes to jackets. – In a perfect world this look would be my uniform with the occasional pop of colour on my feet every now and then. Last week I got the chance to pop into my friend Ken’s studio to check out some of his fall/winter collection. As soon as I saw this jacket I knew I had to have it. What I love about Ken’s work is the amount of attention he pays to details and the quality of his pieces which is clearly displayed in all his outerwear. This look is dedicated to those winter days that you’re running around the city trying your best to stay warm & stylish at the same time. What I’m Wearing

Usually I don’t find myself agreeing with Paris on anything to be honest but in this case she just may be right. Fashion is an amazing outlet to really share with the world how you’re feeling and in this style post I feel like I can take on anything. I’m not sure if its the shoes.. actually it’s definitely the shoes that have given me that extra confidence boost to pull off this look. There’s just something about a vibrant red that just instantly takes your look to another level. – and in return making it the focal point of your outfit.Throwing in an eye catching colour like red into your outfit can make the world of a difference, for women it can be as easy as applying some red lipstick or rocking a pair of Louboutin’s. – for men a red fitted cap or a pair of sneakers like the Yeezy’s or these new bad boys called ‘The Broadwick’ from Lacoste’s upcoming SS 15 line. I can’t wait to share more with you guys what the brand has in store for next season!

While in Paris, I spent quite a bit of time in an area called Le Marais. It’s rich with street art & culture and not to mention a lot of the fashion elites have their studios there. That being said it makes it really easy to find cool places to shoot. I decided to pull out the ‘all black’ uniform for this street style look. I paired this leather motto jacket from Sandro Paris with a simple black tank & a pair of black denim from H&M.

When it comes to fashion there’s two things that I can never get enough of: 1. ripped denim & 2. a good leather jacket. I’ve featured my leather jacket from Diesel a few times before on the blog so you already know how much I love it. – I paired it with these ripped denim shorts from Levi’s that I got at a dope vintage shop & a mesh tank Zara. Those three items along with my leather snapback have been serious staples for my summer wardrobe. I hope I did them justice in this style post that I like to call Summer Street Edge.

Last summer I did a test shoot for Diesel Canada in this beautiful moto jacket & had been craving it ever since. It’s soft, supple & has become a mild obsession. Needless to say, it wound its way into my closet and has started to take over my Instagram account. The fitted cut, ribbed shoulder detailing & eye-catching, chromed zippers make this jacket a definite conversation starter. Dressed up or down, it’s always a win.
