21 Days In Miami

@christianconfidential

Can you believe that it’s the new year already? Like it’s nut! I feel like 2017 came and went by so quickly if it wasn’t for me capturing moments for my blog I don’t think I would’ve been able to remember everything that went down.

That being said, at the end of November my cousin shared a quote that stuck in my head for the rest of the year. “May this last month of 2017 be the plot twist you’ve been waiting for.” and let me tell you that it was!

At the beginning of December my friends and I decided to do a last minute jaunt to Miami for Art Basel. When I say last minute, I mean, L-A-S-T  M-I-N-U-T-E! We literally booked our flights and accommodations the night before, it was so crazy. If you know me, then you know I’m much more of a planner, so this trip was already starting out a lot different.

The plan was to arrive on thursday and leave on sunday. We were all having so much fun, checking out the art installations, having lunches at Soho Beach House, dinners at Komodo and Nusr-Et and partaking in the Miami nightlife (we left E11even on the friday night at 8:30 am to give you guys an idea of how fun it was haha).

When the sunday came around, I was nowhere close to being ready to go back home. Toronto just got their first snow fall and the temperature was plummeting well below zero. My friend Jay and I decided to stay for a few weeks longer and complete the rest of our work for the year in Miami. Honestly, it was the best decision I’ve made in a long time! Everyday I woke up early, got a workout in (Equinox South Beach) then grabbed my laptop and got to work while laying out on the beach in 26+ degree weather!

This was the first time that I wasn’t surrounded by snow for Christmas and to be honest, I wasn’t mad about it! In Miami, they’re very festive with their decorations and you’re still able to feel the Christmas vibe.

I also took this time to really reflect on the direction that my life is going in and what I need to do in the New Year to reach higher heights.

All in all, this was a great experience that I’m really glad that I got the chance to experience and as usual I took a couple pics (maybe more than usual) for you guys to check out!

Believe it or not but I actually shot all of my content with my iPhone 7! I’ve had this phone for about a year now and I’m still blown away by the great quality that it captures. It gets me amped to test out the new iPhone 8plus and the X!  #ShotOnIphone

I hope that 2018 is off to a great start for all of you and that you push through with your resolutions as hard as some of them may be! Remember, you’ve only got one life to life, so whatever it is that you want out of it, go for it and never settle!

Kicking Off 2016 w/ Lacoste

lacoste | Christian ConfidentialFirst of all, I just want to wish you all a Happy New Year! The last few weeks have been a little crazy on my end with all the holiday commitments, planning content and projects for this year and everything else in between. Enough with the boring stuff though, this is my first style post of 2016 and it’s a good one I might add :)! I told myself this year, I’m going to experiment a little more with my wardrobe and I think this look is a great starting point. For me, army prints are always a hit or a miss, there’s no in between. The trick to making it a hit, is to 1. not over do it and 2. everything else has to compliment it.  I decided to throw on a camo jacket over a basic sweatshirt, paired with some ripped denim (obviously) and completed the look with my new high top sneakers from Lacoste. It’s street, it’s edgy, it’s the perfect casual get up to start the year in!

New York Street Style

New York Street Style | Christian ConfidentialHey guys, here’s a short style post that I shot last week while working in New York City. One of the things that I love about traveling is the fact that you’re usually forced outside of your comfort zone. It should come as no surprise that my team and I definitely follow a certain pattern or theme when it comes to the content that we create and let’s just say New York didn’t make it easy for us haha! Like I mean, do clean plain walls exist in Soho?! I don’t think so!  We shot this look while out  exploring the neighbourhood on our first day. I’m really into anything longline right now and I love this longline jacket I recently got from my friends over in Europe. I wore it over a black cape, and a grey sweatshirt with some ripped denim and a fresh pair of high top kicks. Stay tuned for my full NY recap post!
