Dressing Up For The Holidays

rwco | christian confidentialIt’s kind of hard for me to believe it but 2015 is shortly coming to an end. I honestly don’t know where the time has gone, I swear to you that it was summer yesterday. That being said, I know that the last few months of the year are going to fly by even quicker due to the holidays and the millions of celebrations occurring at the same time. You guys know, for the most part this year I’ve been opting for more street style looks but when it comes to the holidays as much as I think ripped denim and bomber jackets are always a good idea, it’s probably better to dress up a little more.

I’ve teamed up with my good friends at RW&CO to showcase a look that I would wear to an event or party over the holidays. I opted to dress up their two-tone twill blazer with a collared shirt and a pair of slim fit dress pants. For me, I always try and find a subtle way to differentiate my look from the other men that may be in attendance. Something that’ll give me a little edge over the others or let people know that I didn’t just pick up the first items that I saw at a boutique. I think the two-tone blazer really helps me do that with this look. The material, the colour and the fit let others know that you’re comfortable being different in a room of guys wearing tuxes or following a black and white colour scheme but at the same time is subtle enough to not come off as  if you’re trying too hard. – It’s all about a balance!rwco | christian confidentialIf you’re in the market for a new blazer for the holidays or some dressy options, keep scrolling to the bottom for my “What I’m Wearing” section to get pieces from my look!

Dapper Meets Street | Style Post

Lacoste | Christian Confidential These last few months have been pretty busy for me and I’m finding that I’m spending less and less time at home. That being said, I’ve been having to dress myself in ways that are appropriate for any type of setting i.e.; a business meeting, dinner with friends or even a baseball game. Having to stay true to my style, I’ve been putting a lot of street and dapper pieces together. I absolutely love this look and I hope you do too! Ripped denim, basic tee, white low tops and a black blazer to add that extra class.

Lacoste | Christian Confidential If you’re following me on Instagram, you’ve definitely seen these kicks paired with a few of my outfits. They’re my latest pair of Lacoste sneakers and are super versatile. Comfortable, with a more slender frame than most of the brands offering, I think they totally compliment the outfit.

Huarache Season | Style Post

Huarache Season | Christian ConfidentialYou all know by now that I’m a sneaker freak… and these bad boys right here have become my latest obsession. Minimal, futuristic and somehow make your feet appear smaller than they really are (I’m a size 12). I decided to base my outfit around my Huarache’s aka all black with a touch of white for contrast. If you’re looking for something a bit different, I’d suggest trying a pair. They’re not for everyone and I think they look better on and come in a bunch of different colorways. Until next time guys!

Weekend Essentials | Style Post

Processed with VSCOcam with s2 presetHey guys, I feel like I haven’t done a style post in a while…crazy right? This look totally brings me back to my days working retail at the GAP (my first real job). It’s clean, it’s classic and looks pretty effortless. Back in my high school days I would’ve opted for slim fit jeans to wear with my long line tank and oxford shirt (I was such a prep) but this time around I decided to make it a little more current by wearing denim joggers and throwing on a fitted cap. This is definitely something I would wear over the weekend, grabbing a few cocktails at a bar or heading out to see a movie.

Can’t Go Wrong With Classics | Style Post

Christian Confidential | LacosteKeeping it super preppy yet casual with this style post. A Slim fit polo, khakis and a fresh pair of white Lacoste sneakers always make for a great outfit combination. Growing up my parents use to always dress me in preppy outfits like this and to this day this style is still a go-to for me. Whether you’re going on a first date, grabbing lunch with the boys or simply running around downtown, you’ll look fresh in this fit. If you’re looking for a little twist on the classic white sneakers, check out the ones that I’m wearing - still white but the pop of blue and red detailing give it a little more edge than your typical all-white kicks.

Casual Cool for Summer | Style Post

Forever 21 Men | Christian ConfidentialI’ve been building up my wardrobe, slowly but surely for the summer months. I feel like the last few post I’ve written have all had to do with the excitement of summer but if you live in Canada you definitely understand why. – For all my international readers just bare with me. For me, summer is all about having fun and spontaneous adventures, so I tend to pick out outfits that are super versatile, light and can be worn in various settings. I scored these pretty dope cotton twill shorts from Forever 21 and guess how much they were?! Twelve bucks… not bad! I rarely talk about the price of items as I think you should buy things based on if you really like them or not but I liked these shorts and it was kind of a no brainer at that price point. They also come in a couple other colours. I decided to build on this look with a scoop neck tee, a light denim button down and a pair of kicks from Converse.  This outfit is something I’d wear in a casual setting like; going out for drinks on a patio, a road trip or an afternoon in the park with friends.Forever 21 Men | Christian ConfidentialForever 21 Men | Christian ConfidentialForever 21 Men | Christian ConfidentialWhat I’m Wearing

Nautical Aesthetic ft. Lacoste | Style Post

Lacoste | Christian ConfidentialLacoste | Christian ConfidentialThe other night, I went out for a run by the lakeshore with my friend and got inspired. I’ve always been a wanderer looking for my next adventure or an opportunity to learn and there’s something about being near water that encourages that feeling for me. Later that night, I went home and started putting together new looks for the blog and I decided to play up on the whole nautical theme. I paired this navy blue striped sweater with my white denim shorts and my new Lacoste slip-ons that I got from Town Shoes. These kicks will definitely be in heavy rotation this summer since they’re so easy to wear,  super versatile when it comes to pairing with outfits and have a little bit of an edge to them with the inclusion of denim fabric on the upper canvas. I think what I like most about this look is that it’s super clean and embodies a classic more mature feel to it. Now the trick for me will be how to make sure my whites (shorts and slip-ons) stay clean. – Wish me luck!Lacoste | Christian ConfidentialLacoste | Christian ConfidentialWhat I’m Wearing

Spring Vibes + Forever21 | Style Post

Forever 21 | Christian ConfidentialThe last few days in Toronto have been pretty amazing. It’s crazy to see how much the change in weather has really impacted the city. The patios, the malls and the sports stadiums have been packed all weekend. Like everyone else, I took advantage of the warm weather and shot some looks for the blog. It’s official, I’ve definitely jumped on the coloured pants/denim craze and I’m not mad about it. I got these blue belted chinos along with this button down dress shirt from Forever 21.I think they pair really nicely together, and give off a clean preppy vibe.  I’m thinking this could potentially be this seasons uniform. – It’s comfortable and classic yet the variety in colours gives it a modern twist. Forever 21 | Christian ConfidentialForever 21 | Christian ConfidentialForever 21 | Christian ConfidentialWhat I’m Wearing

Dreaming of the Hamptons | Style Post

Stripe Shirts + DenimLately I’ve been dreaming more and more about traveling. It’s been a little while since I’ve been away and just had some serious R&R time. A friend and I were doing some research on places to visit in the summer and the Hamptons kept coming up. I started looking at photos and got inspired to put this look together.  Classic, stylish and clean cut seems to be the aesthetic that people tend to follow when getting dressed up in the Hamptons. I opted for a striped oxford shirt, clean wash denim and a pair of chucks to give me the same feel & look. Stripe Shirts + DenimStripe Shirts + DenimStripe Shirts + DenimWhat I’m Wearing
