New Orleans

Streetwear Basics

So, I’ve been away from the blog for about two weeks now but for good reason! It was Toronto Men’s Fashion Week + Women’s Week which meant that my schedule was all over the place (more than usual). That being said, I’m finally catching up on my travel and style content from New Orleans!

I shared this look on Instagram  and you guys seemed to really like it so it only made sense to share the full look + details on the blog, as well.

I love this look, this might actually become my summer uniform for 2018! Although I was in New Orleans, this outfit gives me complete California vibes. It’s the whole ‘effortless’ yet ‘put together’ feel that really wins me over! I wore this look on one my first afternoons alone exploring the city. I wanted to feel comfortable and myself and this was what I came up with.

New Orleans

Boho Inspired

So… I’m back on the blog today from the beautiful city known as New Orleans! I let you guys know that I was taking a random trip out here and didn’t know what to expect and let’s just say that it’s the best decision I’ve made in 2018 thus far. I don’t want to say too much until I share my photo diary but I couldn’t wait to post this Boho inspired look, that I shot.

This look is different from what you’re probably used to seeing from me but I’m branching out a little and really trying to embrace new styles this year. I always use clothes as a way to express myself and right now I’m feeling very light hearted, creative and open minded. I wore this look out to lunch on my second day in New Orleans and loved it so much that I just HAD to shoot it. It’s colourful, it’s light and gives off an elevated Boho vibe!

I’ve got a couple more looks that I shot out here + my photo diary that I can’t wait to share with you all!

New York

Through The Lens Of My iPhone X : New York Fashion Week Men’s

Fresh off my return from Men’s Week in New York, I’ve put together my latest photo diary for you guys! This trip to New York was like no other, filled with magical moments, a constant high and energy rush that words can’t describe. From presentations to runway shows, to meetings at the Empire State building to random nights out, I literally got a taste of everything except time to relax (but who needs that?!) haha!

The week before heading to New York I got my hands on the latest iPhone X and I decided to wait until my trip to truly test it out! I heard great things about the X but I didn’t realize how much of a beast it was, until using it. It took a minute for me to adjust to the new system (taking screenshots is different on the X haha) but after I got the hang of it, I was more than good to go! My favourite thing about the X… the camera (obviously)!

The camera on this phone literally made this work trip so much easier for me. When you’re attending fashion week events, everything happens so quickly and as a blogger you’re trying to see and capture EVERYTHING! Usually, I find myself  switching between 3 devices to capture the best content –  which can be stressful. This time around, I was able to solely use the iPhone X during  shows and presentations.

Instead of telling you guys all about it, I’d rather show you. Every photo in this blog post was both shot and edited using only my iPhone X and the apps I have on it – isn’t that crazy?

If you love blurred backgrounds in your street style photos, you can create that effect easily in portrait mode and can also create that effect with the front camera too (elevate your selfie game)!

These images are highlights from some of my favourite moments during Men’s Week. From hanging out at the LAB SERIES lounge at Men’s Day to getting a tour of the Sean John showroom, to lunch at Freds, to cocktails at the King Cole Bar to working on an exclusive project with Perry Ellis (more on this to come) see it all below!
