So, I’m currently in the middle of figuring out what my official vibe for spring/summer 18 is going to consist of. Last summer, I was obsessed with the whole athleisure movement and as a result, my day-to-day vibe was basically that. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m getting older (sigh…I hate to admit it) but I’ve been so much more open to dressing more sharper on a regular basis.
Not only am I more open to dressing sharper, I’ve become much more open to playing with colours, like I did in New Orleans.
Speaking of New Orleans, one trend that I really pushed while I was out there and I think will stick with me throughout spring/summer, is the wide leg trouser! I don’t know what it is but I think that they’re so cool and really add something to the dynamic of an outfit.
For this look, I styled a pair of wide leg trousers from Perry Ellis with a short sleeve crew neck, some flashy glasses and a pair of classic white sneakers. Personally, this look is giving me total life right now! It’s simple yet classic but at the same time the trousers and accessories elevate the vibe completely. You could catch me wearing this look at a daytime event, a lunch meeting or brunch on the weekend.
Hi babes, I hope you guys had an amazing weekend! I’m back on the blog today to share this summer inspired look that I shot yesterday. It’s crazy because two weeks ago we had a massive snow storm and this weekend the temperature was well above 20+ degrees – it really felt like we skipped spring and went straight into summer. To be honest, I wouldn’t be mad about that at all, daddy loves the HEAT haha!
I told you guys that I wanted to switch up my style game a bit for the summer and dress up a little more and for me, this is a major start! A Printed shirt, linen pants and classic style sneakers, that’s currently my vibe! I wore this outfit out to brunch with one my close friends and felt totally comfortable and stylish at the same time. I hope you guys like it!
It’s finally feeling like spring in Toronto, which I honestly can’t be more about happy about. We didn’t have a bad winter (temperature wise) but it was a very dragged out one. The older that I get, I’m convinced that I was meant to live somewhere warm all year round. I’m such a happier and productive person, it’s literally like night and day!
That being said, I’ve partnered with Prada fragrances on a social media campaign for the year and I’ve just released the second edition of the partnership. This time around we were working on digital content for their latest fragrance Prada L’Eau, which came out at the perfect moment in my opinion. The fragrance is filled with floral notes, hints of amber and red ginger – I think you guys will really like it!
For me, I always opt for fragrances that are lighter in scent and have a fresh airy vibe to them and Prada L’Eau definitely embodies all of those features. Whenever I spray it on myself, it reminds me of being somewhere tropical or the Mediterranean enjoying a night out wearing linen and just having a great time!
Since, I wasn’t able to recreate that exact vision (sigh, Imagine I was able to shoot this project in Greece LOL), I opted to shoot my images wearing linen, playing with shadows and utilizing the sun. I was really happy with how the photos came out and I hope that you guys enjoy them as well!
Hi guys – I’m back on the blog today with a cozy spring time look that I shot before the crazy ice storm hit Toronto! Can you believe that we had an ice storm in the month of April?! It’s absolutely insane to me! I swear if the weather doesn’t get warm quickly, I’ll have no choice but to go on a long beach vacation (no joke haha!).
I love this look, it’s so me at the moment. I love the oversized, Japanese street style aesthetic it’s inspired from. From the oversized denim jacket, to the wide leg pants to the chunky sneakers, I think they all compliment each other so well.
Whenever I’m in Toronto, I’m always on the go and my goal is to always be comfortable but not look like a blob at the same time (haha), so this outfit works for me. I could wear this to a collection preview, to do stylist pulls and attend a lunch meeting – while still being stylish and comfortable.
Every now and then I get the chance to collaborate with a brand that really encourages me to tap into my creative space and create something that’s really different. If you’re into menswear, you’re definitely familiar with the heritage brand Perry Ellis. I remember while growing up and going through my step dads closet and seeing the logo on so many classic staples. You guys know me, I love my edgy statement pieces, my casual cozy pieces and my classic staples.
Perry Ellis is known for its suiting, contemporary apparel, cutting edge athleisure wear (have you seen their 360 collection?!) and are also pretty invested in the fragrance department. Last month, they came out with their newest scent, Perry Ellis and it’s a solid contender. A scent is personal, it’s a representation of you, and for me, I always choose my scents wisely. Think about it, there’s two things that people will always remember you by, 1. the way you made them feel and 2. your scent. I attach people and memories to scents all the time, kind of how I attach experiences to my favourite songs (PartyNextDoor’s Break From Toronto, will always remind me of my first visit to Paris).
The new Perry Ellis scent is for the modern day guy that’s a forward thinker, fashion conscious with a taste for classic and heritage style. Notes from Italian bergamot, crushed lavender and infused verbena gives this scent a refreshing finish.
For this project, my team and I wanted to really bring out the values behind this fragrance in a special way. In this short spot that we created with the brand, you’ll see me in my most intimate state that I’ve been on camera to date. I shed a layer or two, and let myself be vulnerable for you guys to get a glimpse into what I aspire for, what I struggle with and what I’ve overcome throughout my journey this far. Believe it or not, one of the most important things that helps build my confidence day to day, is knowing that I’m wearing a fragrance that supports and reflects my ideas and vision.
The other day I went to grab lunch with my cousin at La Carnita and ended up throwing this look together. I had no intention of shooting it but the longer I wore it, the more I really liked it. It’s simple, athletic and super cozy but for me, I think that what I love about this look is the way that the light colours and tones play together. The different shades of blue and the ruggedness of the denim jacket really adds dynamic to the outfit – I hope you guys are into it too!
So, a little over a month ago I got the chance to work with one of my favourite brands at the moment, Off-White. If you’re into luxury street style, you’re definitely familiar with this brand. It’s spearheaded by Virgil Abloh, who I’ve had the chance of meeting on a few occasions and has developed a cult following by celebrities and consumers alike. With the success of the brand, Off-White has opened their Canadian flagship store in Yorkville, right here in Toronto! That being said, I had the opportunity to style + model a few of my favourite pieces from the fw17 collection for Off-White Toronto. Over the season, be sure to check out the brands Instagram page (@OFF__WHITE__TORONTO) for some style inspiration from yours truly! I hope that you guys like the looks as I had a blast putting them together!
So, I don’t want to jinx it but I think that I’m finally getting back into my creative swing again! This last year, I’ve gone through so many ups and downs in various aspects of my life that in all honesty left me unmotivated to do almost anything. Hence, why I haven’t been as consistent in creating content as I have in the past. I’m learning more and more that the answer to getting out of my feelings for me is to not put too much pressure on myself and to just fight through it. A little advice that a friend gave me that I’d like to share with you guys is; to not let what’s happening in your life right now distract you from the bigger picture.. – If you keep that in mind, it’ll make the tough times a lot easier! I felt like I needed to share a little about this with you guys just because I would never want you guys to think that I don’t take this platform seriously. Some of you guys have been on this journey with me from the jump and I appreciate it so much!
Anyways, that’s enough with all the feelings for today and now onto this look! It’s cool, it’s cozy, it’s me… on the weekend. You can catch me in something like this on a Saturday, heading to a casual brunch, going shopping or hanging out with friends. I love the athletic and minimal aesthetic to it. It’s doing something for me but not too much! I’m into it, I hope y’all are too!
Ps. I’m going to give you a warning to expect these Alexander Wang x Adidas Originals collaboration sneakers to show up a lot, I’m still obsessed with them and they just continue to stay in heavy rotation!
Hi guys – I hope that life has been treating you really well! Life for me (as always) has kind of been a whirlwind of ups and downs. Man, trying to figure out the next steps for your life can become so time consuming, it’s like can someone just give me the answers and I’ll make it all happen haha. In all honesty though, I’ve been working really hard on figuring out exactly what makes me happy and what are the next steps that I need to take to propel my personal life and career to the next level. I just want to live my best life in my zone of excellence moving forward.
That’s enough about my personal life right now, let’s talk about this look! Recently, I was asked to participate in a campaign for Yorkville Village (a small but cute community close to downtown Toronto). Although I don’t ‘live’ in Yorkville, it’s basically become my second home. My gym is located there (Catalyst), some of my favourite restaurants are in the area and my friends own one of the coolest boutiques there aka CNTRBND. This look is casual, light and has a rebel flair to it. You could easily catch me wearing something like this on a regular day in the area. I hope you guys like it!
