West Palm Beach, where do I begin? Let’s just say that it’s getting super cold in Toronto and if anyone even mentions to me that we should “go on a trip” to somewhere warm, I’m pretty much in! My best friend had a few days off of work and I happened to be free so we booked an impromptu trip to West Palm Beach. We had no idea what to expect, other than warm weather + a beach and to be honest that was good enough for me. West Palm is located in Florida and happens to be one of the healthiest places within the United States – crazy right?! We stayed at The Kimpton Tideline Ocean Resort which is located right off the beach and neighbours to the Four Seasons.
If you’re looking for a place to go and really have some quality time to yourself or with a special someone, West Palm Beach is a great option. Our day schedule consisted of working out, lounging by the beach and sipping on prosecco. At night we ventured out and socialized with the locals. One of the restaurants I fell in love with was Bucaan - their Sweet Corn Agnolotti pasta is a must try, so good! If you’re looking for nightlife action, everyone pretty much hangs out downtown in Delray Beach. This area is filled with restaurants and bars, one that I really liked was El Camino.
As always, I took a few pictures during my stay for you guys to check out – I hope you guys like them!
Hi guys, as promised, here’s my latest photo diary from Miami. After Paris, I think that Miami is my most frequently visited destination and I don’t feel bad about it. Whether I’m looking to have a wild time with friends or a quiet trip alone, it never disappoints! This trip was all about taking in as much warm weather as possible (it’s about to get REALLY cold in Toronto) and getting some much needed rest (there’s nothing better than falling asleep on a beach). We kept it pretty low key and did a couple nice dinners (Cecconi’s is always a must visit), some time on the beach and a lot of bubbly. See below for a few of my favourite photos that I snapped along the way!
Hi guys, I meant to put this post up when I was in Miami but… I got a little caught up relaxing and taking in the sun. It’s been getting colder and colder in Toronto and my best friend and I felt that it was time to take a trip to one of our favourite destinations, Miami. We stayed at the Loews hotel in South Beach, which we loved and had a pretty dope view from our suite. I’ll be back soon with a photo diary, so stay tuned!
So, it’s been a bit over a week since I’ve been back from Vegas and I already miss it! From lounging by our hotel pool, to our crazy daytime adventures, to the great food, to our wild nights… it was such a blast! My friends Vanessa, Jay& I had the chance to curate our Vegas trip with the help of ExpediaCAand their newly launched #VegasYou feature. If you’re planning a trip to Vegas, I’d suggest that you check it out, especially if you’ve never been. It’s designed to help you pick out the best place to stay based on what you want to do in Vegas i.e.; hotels with the best pools, best fine dining, best shopping etc.. We’re all suckers for fine dining, minimal design and more boutique style hotels, so the SLS Las Vegas won us over!
Another cool thing about the #VegasYou feature is that when it separates the hotels into different categories, it also breaks down what each place has to offer – making it super easy for you to scout the places that you want to check out aka a time saver.
If you’re heading to Vegas, the best advice I can give you is to go there with an open mind and a good group of friends. It’s a place where anything and everything can happen… honestly, truly (insert Joanne The Scammer voice)! Some of the highlights for me, had to be our helicopter ride over the Vegas strip at night – so beautiful, our spontaneous road trip to the dessert, our last supper at Mr.Chow and our visit to the Neon Museum(who knew that Vegas had so much history, it was really cool to learn)!
As always, I’ve listed a few places worth checking out while in Vegas (mostly to eat & party) + snapped a few pics!
Apparently I can’t get enough of the french language in my life. Fresh off my return from Paris, last week I hopped on a plane to Montreal, Quebec for a futuristic soirée titled, #ALTcourt. #ALTcourt (Alternative Court) was the kick-off party for the Rogers Cup produced by National Bank. It was an edgy, yet trendy party celebrating both fashion and lifestyle. Being that the Rogers Cup takes place in both Toronto and Montreal, the National Bank team flew out 12 Toronto influencers to get the full #ALTcourt experience! Great music, beautiful people, dope art installations and curated cocktails equals, a great night! If you were following along on my Snapchat (CC.Christian), you got to see IRL (In Real Time) how much fun the evening was. If not, no worries – check out the photos & video below to get a glimpse into the fun-filled evening!
I’m on a beautiful twisted journey, that I have no control of xx – That’s a recent quote that I posted on social media that really resonates with me in regards to how I feel about life right now. Over the last few months, consciously and subconsciously I’ve been doing a lot of self discovery and soul searching. I’ve been exploring different ways to create a deeper connection with the universe, myself, and those closest to me. It’s been interesting, frustrating, exciting and intimidating all at the same time. Last week I decided that I needed to get out of the city for a few days and just have some quality time to myself. I chose Miami, Florida as my destination… it’s close by, it’s familiar and for me there’s nothing more calming than the beach and warm weather. The time away was exactly what I needed, from the moment I arrived to my last evening in the sunshine state, the universe continuously sent me signs that strengthened my recent discoveries. It was a magical experience that I can’t even properly describe with words and maybe that’s just how it’s supposed to be. I don’t want to get too much into details about my discoveries as of yet but incase you guys are going through something similar I’d encourage you guys to explore those feelings. Don’t brush them off and think things will just get better, those feelings will come back and it’s the universe’s way of telling you to dig deeper, usually within yourself. Ask yourself questions like what makes you happy, what makes you feel fulfilled, what are you passionate about, are you pursuing your purpose? Be prepared to answer those questions honestly and to explore why you’ve come to those conclusions. On a side note, one thing that I do want to share is that if you can, try traveling alone. I almost forgot how liberating and powerful it can be. Going to a new place in the world where nobody knows you and you have to do everything on your own helps build your confidence and self-esteem like nothing else. Continue Reading…
So you’re either going to love or hate this look I wore during Paris Fashion Week! I, think it’s a bit different from what I would normally wear, which to be honest is why I opted for it. If there’s ever a time to try something a little more out there with your style it’s definitely 1. while traveling and 2. during fashion week (have you seen what some people wear to the shows eeek).
I paired this denim jumper with my all white nike huaraches (which I’m more than obsessed with… sigh, if only I had an all black pair too lol) and a copper coloured tuque. It’s clean, it’s street and a little different at the same time!
Hi guys, I hope that life has been treating you well these days. I’m definitely still on a high from my trip to Paris. It’s my third time traveling to this beautiful city and I must admit that every time I visit, I fall more & more in love. I feel like everyone has a place in the world that makes them feel extra special inside, and for me, it’s Paris!
This trip was extra exciting, as it was the first time that I’d be attending shows for Paris Men’s Fashion Week…which to me, is huge! Paris is legit the fashion capital of the world and to be able to see how things are done over there was definitely a goal of mine personally and professionally. I’ll get more into the shows and all that good stuff in my upcoming post but in the meantime I wanted to share some of my favourite moments and places while away. I decided to switch things up and bring over my Instagram aesthetic to the blog for this post!
Ps… I just want to say a huge thank you to you guys for your continued support! Honestly, these experiences wouldn’t be possible without my readers and it truly means a lot to me. If there’s anything that you want to see more of, just let me know!
It’s December 1st and as I sit down and write this travel post, I must say that the last half of this year has truly been a blessed one. One of the things that I love about being a blogger is that it opens doors to opportunities that can sometimes be life changing. Last month I got the opportunity to travel to the island of Tobago and learn a little bit about their lifestyle and fashion.
The great people at Fashion Vanguard invited us down to check out their inaugural fashion buyers exhibition. This exhibition showcased 9 reputable designers with roots from the island.
I, of course had my favourites and gravitated towards more of your staples/essentials from a brand titled I Say UClothing. It’s cool to see what works in regards to fashion in other parts of the world and it’s even cooler to see the influence of different cultures reflected in the garments. Linen (for it’s breathability, I’m sure) was a common fabric used throughout a lot of the featured designers especially the menswear line, Millhouse. Neoprene, which is one of my favourite materials this year was very well displayed throughout some of the womenswear designers such as, Lush Kingdom. Photography by:Vitina Blumenthal for ChristianConfidential.comAfter taking in all the dope fashion, it was time to get a taste of the Tobago lifestyle. Beautiful weather, friendly people and great food (I tried shark for the first time), I’m not really sure what else I could’ve asked for. We spent some time at Pigeon Point beach, partied at the infamous ‘Shade’ nightclub and relaxed by the pool at our villa. All in all, this was a great experience and Tobago is filled with hidden gems and treasure both in fashion and lifestyle. If you’re looking for a destination to unwind and reflect, Tobago is a destination to consider. A special thank you to everyone that made our stay what it was especially; Jamilia, Karen, Kery & Kevon.
