It’s official, I am now another year older and hopefully a little wiser. Last weekend was definitely filled with a lot of love, laughter and positive vibes all around. The night before my birthday (June 18th), I decided to host a little get together for a few friends. We nibbled on charcuterie and cheese boards, sipped on Freixenet Cava, stayed hydrated with Boxed Water and danced to only the best trap music.. Fetty Wap anyone?! At midnight we made a quick toast & kept the party going. I honestly don’t think that there’s a better way to ring in your birthday than being surrounded by a beautiful group of friends, old and new.

My friends at General Motors gave me crimson red wheels for the weekend!
On my actual birthday, I decided to keep it low key and dedicated the day to taking care of myself (gym, spa, healthy eating and a good night sleep). It’s exactly what I needed to be ready for the adventures that I would get up to on Saturday. After shooting the ‘Live Beautifully’ – The Lifestyle Series Pt. 2 a few weeks back a few of my friends and I have been itching to head back out to Niagara-on-the-Lake to visit some more wineries. An amazing opportunity came up to not only visit a winery but attend the 3rd annual Niagara Wine Festival Tailgate Party. The Christian Confidential team & friends packed our day bags, buckled up and headed out to our first stop, Mike Weir Winery courtesy of Buick Canada in the 2015, Enclave. A crowd favourite for the roomy interior and the OnStar capabilities, which may have saved us from getting lost once or twice.

Mike Weir Winery is definitely a special place – beautiful space, great wine, delicious food (you NEED to try their fries) and an amazing view. We enjoyed bottles of their Underdog wine as well as their Vinyāsa wine, which is a great choice if you’re looking for something low in calories.
After spending a relaxing afternoon on the Mike Weir patio, we were off to our next destination, The Niagara Wine Festival Tailgate Party. My friends and I weren’t really sure what to expect at this event but trust me when I say we were all glad we came out to play. An array of food, wine and culture, there was something for everyone. The party took place in a vineyard and hosted approximately 700 people. . A special thank you to Kimberly Hundertmark for the amazing hospitality that evening.
After the tailgate party we spent the rest of the night in Niagara Falls, eating cotton candy and ice cream sandwiches while taking in the falls. It was the perfect ending to an amazing day. The highlight for me this weekend was being able to see my friends old and new come together and experiencing this with me. I’m all about creating memories through experiences and this past weekend allowed me to create new ones with people that I love. On that note, I’m looking forward to what 26 has to offer!
