Hi babes – I hope that your week is off to a great start! Circling back on the blog today with a style post from a TV segment that I filmed last week with my friends over atET Canada! We were spilling all the fashion + pop culture tea in regards to Rihanna’s latest Savage X Fenty Vol.4 Runway Show, and whew it got spicy, lol.
You guys know, I always spill the real tea, and let’s just say not everybody agreed with me this time around, lol! I love fashion and pop culture commentary because everyone has their own unique perspective on how they interpret things and that’s what makes things interesting! It’s funny to me when people get wildly upset over an individuals opinion but I know that comes with the territory.
Let it be known that what got some people heated wasn’t about my babyRiRi, nor the full show. The show was a vibe as always, the models ATE and the fashion GAVE. I snapped a few pics along the way and if you’d like to watch the full clip – you can catch ithere! I wanna stress how much better it is to be shooting these segments in studio again, the energy is unmatched and I LOVE working with my co-fashion panelist Shreyaand Morganis always a fun time too!
Back on the blog today with a cute style moment for you! These pics are from the other day on set filming a fashion segment for ET Canada. I love this baby blue moment that I have going on and the contrast that it has with the rest of my fit. Shreya (my co-panelist) and I have the best chemistry IRL and on camera and we tend to compliment each others style without ever planning to!
This segment is for a holiday special so i’ll keep you guys posted when I get the air date. Until then check out some of the pics below :).
Hi BB’s – Kicking off the first week of September strong with my friends at ET Canada as we discussed everyone’s favourite award show – The MTV VMAs! It’s been so long since I’ve actually filmed in the studio and not via zoom because of covid protocols, so it felt great to film our fashion panel IRL again.
For me, there wasn’t that many hits when it came to red carpet looks but a few honourable mentions such as; ChloeBailey, J Balvin, Lizzo and Taylor Swift (Shreya and I will have to agree to disagree on this one, lol).
I went for a majority black fit (top + trousers from COS Stores) with silver accessories paired with my favourite chunky boots.
You can catch our segment here. I’ll be in again this week filming something special so stay tuned for that! 🙂
So, I’m sharing this post a little but I guess late is better than never right?!? To be honest, I wanted to wait to share this post because I wanted to shoot the look or something similar to it to give you guys a better perspective of my outfit. At the end of march, I shot my latest television segment for ET Canada’sFashion Friday and it was such a good one! Myself, Jodi Lopez and Carlos Bustamante dished about the latest and greatest in celebrity fashion and gave our honest opinions (some more than others, aka me haha) about a ton of stars.
It’s crazy because I’m really enjoying this television stuff. It feels much more natural to me and being able to be myself and share my true thoughts and opinions is the ultimate cherry on top! I knew that I wanted to venture into television for a while now, and I’ve dabbled a little into acting a little but I didn’t truly love it. I felt like with acting I had to stay true to the character I was playing but being a host or a personality to me it’s just like sitting around with your friends and spilling the tea – so much more my vibe.
Fast forward to the look I shot the other week in London which drew inspiration from my ‘television look’. I opted to keep it pretty similar except let go of the hat and elevated the bottom half with faux leather pants.
I love this look, to me it’s very Miguelmeets Lenny Kravitz (which I adore them both). This is a look that I’d likely wear to a festival, a night out in the summer or a fashion event in the city. Whether it’s the pants or the printed shirt or the whole look all together it’s bound to be an outfit that people comment on – which to me is a win in fashion!
