This past weekend I challenged myself to step outside of my comfort zone and experience something that I’ve never done before. If you’ve been following along via social media you’re aware that my friends and I took a short trip to Hamilton, Ontario to part take in some outdoor activities.
With that being said, I’m excited to share with you all the third instalment of my #LiveBeautifully lifestyle series in collaboration with Lacoste. This time around I wanted to highlight the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, specifically the importance of being active and the benefits of eating healthy.
The last few weeks, we’ve been having beautiful weather so I wanted to find something that my friends and I could participate in that wasn’t apart of our regular physical activities (running, training, basketball) that still allowed us to catch up and be social. My creative partner suggested that we head over to Hamilton and go on a hike and that’s exactly what we did. I’m a city boy so I never really thought of hiking to be my ‘thing’ but after talking to my friends and seeing how enthusiastic they were about it, I was down to try it out and face my fear of heights!
We made our way over to Dundas Peak and Webster’s Falls which are both equally beautiful. It’s crazy to think that places like this have been so close by to us and it’s the first time we visited them.
The hike itself was great for a beginner. It wasn’t super long and had a lot of moments where you wanted to stop and take photos allowing you to take short breaks. We made it to the peak and decided to set up shop to eat our lunches courtesy of Belmonte Raw and take in the view.

It was a hot day and my friends and I know the importance of staying hydrated and consuming the right types of food when being active. We all had specially made raw organic meals that were full of nutrients and vitamins to keep us happy and energized, along with juices and plenty of water. My favourite juice this time around was ‘Hydrate’ – it has activated charcoal, alkaline water, lemon and coconut sugar which is great for post workouts. It’s also great for hangovers but we’ll save those details for another post!
This was my first hike and I couldn’t of thought of a better group of friends to experience this with. We laughed, caught up on life and documented the experience through video and photos. Check out the video below to get a glimpse into our experience.
