If you follow me on Instagram, you would’ve seen that last week I was appointed the title of a #BRawAgent and participated in a 5 day juice cleanse. This wasn’t my first juice cleanse but it was my longest by an additional two days. Having worked with the brand in the past ‘The Circle’ – luncheon and ‘Sweat With Christian’, I knew that I was in good hands. Everyday, I was delivered a fresh batch of organic cold pressed juice between the hours of 5am and 8am with a schedule and guidelines on when to consume them. I followed the schedule and consumed a lot of water in between juices and went on with my day. The only real adjustment that I made was to my workout regimen. I brought down the intensity of my workouts to accommodate the amount of calories that I was consuming.
The main benefit of being on a juice cleanse is to give your digestive system a break from it’s everyday heavy duties of breaking down solid foods. In addition to giving your digestive system a break a lot of people lose weight, release toxins and gain glowing skin from being on a cleanse. I didn’t lose much weight but my skin does look and feel better. One thing I do really like about being on a cleanse is that because you follow a schedule, once completing it, you tend to continue out of habit. The last few days post cleanse, I’ve been eating earlier, more regularly and consuming more water.
If you’re in the market for a juice cleanse I would recommend trying out Belmonte Raw. If you’re a beginner, I think three days is sufficient as I found the 4th day really difficult but because I’m super stubborn I continued until the end. If you don’t think a cleanse is right for you, try incorporating juices into your diet. The nutrients that you can get from one juice is the equivalent to sometimes eating pounds of fruits and vegetables, which most of us never do. For more information and to see the various types of cleanses that you can participate in visit BelmonteRaw and let them know that I sent ya!
Hi guys, I hope that you all had a great long weekend, I’m back on the blog today with a new style post featuring Canada Goose. As I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve teamed up with the brand to showcase how you can stay stylish yet warm/dry against the elements with their SS15 collection. I have the worst luck when it comes to being caught in the rain. Yesterday, it rained for approximately 20 minutes downtown and without a doubt I happened to be outside during that period. The Jacksons jacket from Canada Goose’s Branta collection will not only keep you dry and warm during those bad weather days, but is also super light and compact. Being a lifestyle blogger, I’m always out exploring the city for cool places to shoot and some days the forecast calls for rain and the fact that this jacket is light and compact makes it super easy to pack into my knapsack and pull it out when I need it. It might sound like a small feature to highlight but for me that’s exactly why this jacket works for my lifestyle. Check out the rest of Canada Goose’s SS15 collection here and let me know which ones you’re into. #AskAnyoneWhoKnows
Hey guys, I’ve teamed up with Canada Goose to style a few pieces from their Spring collection to showcase how you can look stylish and warm at the same time. Seeing that it is just the beginning of Spring, the weather can be so unpredictable and because of that you can’t put all your warm outerwear into storage just yet. I’m totally into this pacific blue soft shell ‘Trenton’ jacket with grey detailing simply because it’s super light, versatile, waterproof and keeps me warm. I’ve been really embracing my preppy side these days so I decided to pair it with a classic oxford button down, a pair of khaki’s and white kicks! This outfit can totally stand on its own without the jacket but I think the pop of colour gives it that extra ‘je ne sais quoi’ for an everyday look.

If you read my blog regularly you’ve definitely picked up on my slight obsession for everything black & leather, especially when it comes to jackets. – In a perfect world this look would be my uniform with the occasional pop of colour on my feet every now and then. Last week I got the chance to pop into my friend Ken’s studio to check out some of his fall/winter collection. As soon as I saw this jacket I knew I had to have it. What I love about Ken’s work is the amount of attention he pays to details and the quality of his pieces which is clearly displayed in all his outerwear. This look is dedicated to those winter days that you’re running around the city trying your best to stay warm & stylish at the same time. What I’m Wearing
