In early fall 2015, I had the opportunity to sit-in on a media presentation at Adidas Canada’s head office and preview what was coming down the pipeline for 2016. As you can probably imagine one of my favourite categories to check out from the brands portfolio was the Originals (good street wear will always be my weakness) and way before the presentation was over I knew Adidas wasn’t playing around with their upcoming releases. One of the key drops that I was excited about for SS16 were these sleek kicks featured here! If you’ve been a fan of the brand, you’re definitely familiar with The Gazelle– a silhouette that came out in the 60’s and has become a three-stripe icon all around the world!
Everyone has their own reason for liking this shoe but for me, it’s because of its versatility. I’m a sucker for a sneaker that’s comfortable, stylish and can be paired with a variety of outfits. The last time I was in Europe, I saw these sneakers paired with suits, ripped denim, joggers, sweatpants & more. I got myself a pair of the clear onix, white and gold colorway and trust me when I say, they’re currently in heavy rotation!
As much as I love sharing my excitement about dope pieces through words, you all know, I’d much rather show you guys through visuals. My team & I shot this cool fashion clip featuring some of my favourite looks at the moment all worn with The Gazelle’s – take a look at it below and let me know what you think! It’s definitely been a while since we’ve done a fashion video and I’m pretty content with how it turned out! I’ll be sharing details about some of the featured outfits in another post later, so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, if you’re looking to grab yourself a pair of these kicks head on over to Adidas.ca where they not only offer this colorway but a navy blue, white and gold one too!
Until next time,

It’s Fashion Week here in Toronto, and in celebration of it my team and I wanted to do something special. We’ve put together a two part street style guide featuring some of my favourite pieces for the season. Within these visual guides, I’ve put together six looks that incorporate my essentials, statement pieces, minimalism, and swag. For me, when I think about what really draws me towards this style of dressing is that it embodies confidence. Not to take anything away from the dapper dudes, but 9 out of 10 guys look great in a suit, but with street style if it’s not done correctly you can very easily look like a hot mess. With street style it’s all about swag, you wear the clothes, don’t let the clothes wear you. I styled my friends (Daniel & Jay) and myself in looks that showcase my take on street style. Fitted joggers, bombers, motto jackets, oversized tees, long line tees and fresh sneakers…sigh, you can’t forget about the sneakers!
When it comes to building your sneaker collection, start with the classics and when in doubt opt for pairs in black, white or grey. They’ll play the best with your outfits and never go out of style.
I’ve said this before so it should come as no surprise that when it comes to clothes, as much as I search for dope fashion, I search just as much for comfort. Fashion Week is the perfect example for when opting for that edgy street look might come in handy. You’re running around from show to show to gift lounges to maybe even an after party or two! I don’t know about you but a pair of Tubulars
sound like the ideal pair of shoes to be sporting on days like that.
If you want to do street style right, a good item to have in your arsenal is a leather or faux leather jacket. The great thing about fast fashion these days is that you’re able to get nice pieces at affordable prices. For example; you wouldn’t believe how much the motto jackets that we’re wearing costs… you’ve gotta love Forever 21
Black is your best friend. I’ve never met a person that didn’t look great in black. It makes for the perfect base to build your outfits with, it’s super versatile and let’s you get away with repeating it more times than any other colour option. I stock up on black tanks, tees, basic sweatshirts and jeans all the time and it doesn’t have to cost you a lot.

If you’re a regular reader of Christian Confidential, you’ve probably picked up on my love for classic pieces. For me, I think they’re the perfect items to invest in, mainly because they never go out of style and they’re great foundations to build an outfit around. As much as I love the classics, I also enjoy it when brands take a classic item like a cardigan and put a modern twist on it. The classic cardigan is a staple item in my closet but this updated version, really took it to another level for me. Making it oversized and adding additional length to the body gives the cardigan a little more swag, while maintaining it’s original preppy vibes. What I’m Wearing
