Now don’t get confused with the title of this post. I’m a Gemini x 2 (sun + rising) with a Sagittarius moon but I’ve got to show love to Aries season cuz it always feels like the season that things finally start to pick up speed – and I’m here for it!
I told you guys last time that I’m in the process of making changes in my life (professional + personal) and I’m almost ready to share them with you guys… but not just yet. There’s a few things that just need to be ironed out but we’re almost there and I’m very excited about this new journey I’m about to venture on.
It’s been a while since Ive been this excited and nervous so I’m taking it as a good sign + the timing seems pretty divine – I’m definitely feeling my angels all around me.
That being said, I didn’t want to neglect the blog so I’m back with a cute style post for ya! This is such a simple yet chic look that I put together and wore on a warm early spring day last week.
It’s giving me early 2000’s pop star off duty vibes and I’m lovin’ it! I shot this by myself with my tripod and a remote on a little street in downtown Vancouver and I’m pretty impressed with the turnout. Take a look at the rest of the pics below and let me know what you think! xx
Sigh… today was one of those ‘What Am I Doing With My Life’ days, and truthfully, just like Sway, I don’t have the answer, lol. On the plus side, the sun was shining and seeing that the decent weather days are numbered in Toronto, I decided to take advantage of it.
What’s this look giving? It’s giving me, pretty on the outside and super EMO on the inside lol! I use my site + social channels as a way to express how I feel so on days that I don’t feel like I have it all together and I decide to post, I’m going to be authentic.
That being said, just because the pandemic is getting the best of me, doesn’t mean I won’t still give you LEWKS (when I decide to post lol).
Super simple outfit but with a touch of edge. I recently got these leather boots fromCOS and I’m loving them. I think they pair so well with these cargo pants and the cropped knit sweater from H&M Studio.
Y’all know I love accessorizing and I feel like incorporating some of my chunky jewellery and the pop of colour from my toque really elevated this everyday look.
I’ll be back soon, and hopefully in a better mood :)>
Can you guys believe that it’s almost December 1st? Like where has the time gone! Over the last two months or so, I’d say that I’ve been busier than usual, which is definitely a good thing. With traveling, work and my personal life, I was definitely starting to feel a bit drained. Knowing that the upcoming month isn’t going to slow down I decided to have a short staycation at one of my favourite hotels in the city, The Four Seasons.
I stayed in one of the hotels luxury suites and brought my younger cousin along to join in on the r&r. We went to the gym, ordered room service, visited a local lounge and called it a night quite early (I had a shoot the next day with Perry Ellis).
This staycation was exactly what I needed. There’s nothing more relaxing than forgetting about your responsibilities for a day and just listening to what your body and mind needs every now and then.
As always, I took a few snaps for you guys to scroll through!
So… It’s officially been about a week since my birthday and let’s just say that I’m still thinking about how much fun it was. Every year I usually throw a big dinner or have a party of some sort but this year I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something low-key with a small group of people and just kind of go with the flow. A few of my friends (Shayna, Jayand Vanessa) and I have been talking about how much fun it would be if we all went to Miami together one day, which spawned the idea of this birthday trip. We overpacked our carry-ons with swimsuits, workout gear and party outfits and hopped on an early morning flight to meet our good friends from New York in Miami for an unforgettable couple of days.
It’s crazy what great company, a beach, some champagne and good music can do for the soul. From start to finish, there was never a dull moment. The highlight moment for me on this trip had to be my birthday dinner at Zuma. The food was amazing, the service was great and the conversations left me feeling inspired and grateful. We spoke about personal goals, life, what we’re thankful for and what we’re looking to accomplish within the next year. Everyone was honest and so supportive of one another and to me that’s the beauty of life and great relationships.
This was one of those trips that I’ll always look back on and cherish the memories that were created. The universe works in the most craziest of ways. A week before I left on this trip, I was fighting a lot of anxiety. I felt like no matter what I was doing, I wasn’t getting ahead in certain areas of my life. Fast forward to the end of this trip, I left with a total different perspective, a more positive outlook and feeling extremely blessed and grateful. I know that I have work to do in order to accomplish what I want to do in life and I think that this year will be all about change and advancement. It’s not going to be easy, I know that there will be uncomfortable moments but I’m ready to take the plunge and see what’s out there for me!
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that sent there wishes on or around my birthday – it truly does mean a lot! Thank you to my friends that made this trip what it was, thank you for just being you and allowing me to be the crazy person that I am haha!
As always, I snapped some photos along the way. I hope you guys enjoy these travel post, I’ll be back with some style post later this week!
Recently, I’ve been put on to a new brand out of Australia that’s starting to make its way into the canadian fashion market and I’m totally obsessed with it! Viparo, is a brand that embraces all things leather. Catering to both men and women, their leather jackets and accessories are quickly becoming some of my favourite pieces. I put this look together to attend a spring fashion event in Toronto and I”m pretty happy with the end results. The Ventura leather jacket, an oversized tee that I tucked into my marled knit chinos and completed the look with a pair of leather slip-ons. This outfit is totally giving off a parisian vibe that I hope you guys like as much as I do. What I’m Wearing
Another Fashion Week has come and gone in Toronto and If you work in the Canadian fashion industry , last week was probably one of the busiest times of the year for you. I know for myself it was jammed packed with attending shows, fittings, castings, social gatherings, after parties and everything else in between. I had a few different looks that I put together for the week but I wanted to showcase this all black get up that I put together, it was definitely the highlight of them all for me. I’m not the biggest enthusiast for turtlenecks but I decided to put it into play with a black blazer, marled knit joggers and my suede chelsea boots. I think in the end, the look came together really nicely – giving off a very dapper look while providing comfort all at the same time. What I’m Wearing
