Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of collaborating on a cool men’s training initiative with Adidas Canada. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you already know how much of an integral role fitness plays in my lifestyle. I’m very competitive when it comes to sports and working out (blame it on the countless years of running track and playing football) – so when it comes to the type of workout gear that I wear, I want it to be the best. Recently, I was introduced to a new pair of men’s training shoes by Adidas called the Pure Boost ZG‘s and I’m not going to lie, they’re pretty bad ass! They’ve got just the right amount of boost technology to keep you feeling light on your feet and stable enough to react to quick movements.
I invited a few of my boys to come out and put these kicks to the test during a high intensity training session. My personal trainer, Adam Reynolds and co-founder of Catalyst Health curated a crazy circuit for us to complete including the use of weights, medicine balls, rowing machines, Airdyne bikes, Woodway treadmills & much more! To say that this training session was a tough one is an understatement but at the end of it we were all happy that we pushed through it! In regards to the apparel and footwear, they held up to the hype that I shared with the guys before the session. To see more of what went down during the bootcamp, my team put together a little video for you to take a look at below!
Until next time,

As promised, we’re back this week with part two of our ‘Street Style’ guide! The thing that I love about street style and fashion in general is that it’s totally your choice of how creative or simple you want to be with it. I always tell my boys that finding a happy medium within those two ends of the spectrum is the best way to go.
Don’t be afraid to go against the grain. Fashion is all about having fun and expressing yourself! Try on those fitted denim, rock those all black overalls! At the end of the day, you’ll know if it works for you or not.
As I mentioned in part 1 street
style is all about swag, and finding your own way of rocking an outfit is the fun part about it.
An easy way of bringing more depth into your outfit is by layering. Yes, layering, it’s not only for your preppy inspired looks anymore. Look at Kanye West
, one of my favourite street style guys, you’ll very rarely find him wearing only one tee or crewneck. Try experimenting with different lengths and fabrics when putting your outfits together. For example; I styled Daniel
with a simple denim button up
and complimented it with a long line tee underneath.
When in doubt dress from the bottom up. I don’t know if a lot of people do this or it’s just me because of my love of sneakers
but I tend to find it easier. Knowing the type of kicks that you want to wear and building your outfit around them is a trick that I like to use a lot.
Slender kicks are your best friends when it comes to skinny jeans and hi-tops are your best friends when it comes to joggers. If you’re on a budget grab yourself a pair of black and white Hi-Tops
! They pair well with the style of bottoms above, super versatile and the more you wear them, the more character they have.

Thanks for coming back and checking out part two of our ‘Street Style’ guide! Hopefully you guys found the tips informative and got to take a thing or two out of this post. As always, don’t be afraid to drop me a line if you have any questions or comments!
It’s Fashion Week here in Toronto, and in celebration of it my team and I wanted to do something special. We’ve put together a two part street style guide featuring some of my favourite pieces for the season. Within these visual guides, I’ve put together six looks that incorporate my essentials, statement pieces, minimalism, and swag. For me, when I think about what really draws me towards this style of dressing is that it embodies confidence. Not to take anything away from the dapper dudes, but 9 out of 10 guys look great in a suit, but with street style if it’s not done correctly you can very easily look like a hot mess. With street style it’s all about swag, you wear the clothes, don’t let the clothes wear you. I styled my friends (Daniel & Jay) and myself in looks that showcase my take on street style. Fitted joggers, bombers, motto jackets, oversized tees, long line tees and fresh sneakers…sigh, you can’t forget about the sneakers!
When it comes to building your sneaker collection, start with the classics and when in doubt opt for pairs in black, white or grey. They’ll play the best with your outfits and never go out of style.
I’ve said this before so it should come as no surprise that when it comes to clothes, as much as I search for dope fashion, I search just as much for comfort. Fashion Week is the perfect example for when opting for that edgy street look might come in handy. You’re running around from show to show to gift lounges to maybe even an after party or two! I don’t know about you but a pair of Tubulars
sound like the ideal pair of shoes to be sporting on days like that.
If you want to do street style right, a good item to have in your arsenal is a leather or faux leather jacket. The great thing about fast fashion these days is that you’re able to get nice pieces at affordable prices. For example; you wouldn’t believe how much the motto jackets that we’re wearing costs… you’ve gotta love Forever 21
Black is your best friend. I’ve never met a person that didn’t look great in black. It makes for the perfect base to build your outfits with, it’s super versatile and let’s you get away with repeating it more times than any other colour option. I stock up on black tanks, tees, basic sweatshirts and jeans all the time and it doesn’t have to cost you a lot.
