Sigh, I’m really going to miss the warm weather! There’s something about summer and shooting in the warmth that just hits different. My skin is glowing and the camera picks up all the colours in the outfit so well.
Anyways, back to the outfit haha. I was going for a casual vibe with a hint of something different with this look and that’s exactly what I got. I love a good flowing shirt and I’m in love with this colour. You guys already know how much I adore wide-leg trousers and these ones from COS did not disappoint. I completed the look with a pair of Reebok sneakers and some accessories from Thomas Sabo.
You could catch me wearing this outfit to a daytime fashion event, brunch at Soho House, or on vacation!
It’s Fashion Week here in Toronto, and in celebration of it my team and I wanted to do something special. We’ve put together a two part street style guide featuring some of my favourite pieces for the season. Within these visual guides, I’ve put together six looks that incorporate my essentials, statement pieces, minimalism, and swag. For me, when I think about what really draws me towards this style of dressing is that it embodies confidence. Not to take anything away from the dapper dudes, but 9 out of 10 guys look great in a suit, but with street style if it’s not done correctly you can very easily look like a hot mess. With street style it’s all about swag, you wear the clothes, don’t let the clothes wear you. I styled my friends (Daniel & Jay) and myself in looks that showcase my take on street style. Fitted joggers, bombers, motto jackets, oversized tees, long line tees and fresh sneakers…sigh, you can’t forget about the sneakers!
When it comes to building your sneaker collection, start with the classics and when in doubt opt for pairs in black, white or grey. They’ll play the best with your outfits and never go out of style.
I’ve said this before so it should come as no surprise that when it comes to clothes, as much as I search for dope fashion, I search just as much for comfort. Fashion Week is the perfect example for when opting for that edgy street look might come in handy. You’re running around from show to show to gift lounges to maybe even an after party or two! I don’t know about you but a pair of Tubulars
sound like the ideal pair of shoes to be sporting on days like that.
If you want to do street style right, a good item to have in your arsenal is a leather or faux leather jacket. The great thing about fast fashion these days is that you’re able to get nice pieces at affordable prices. For example; you wouldn’t believe how much the motto jackets that we’re wearing costs… you’ve gotta love Forever 21
Black is your best friend. I’ve never met a person that didn’t look great in black. It makes for the perfect base to build your outfits with, it’s super versatile and let’s you get away with repeating it more times than any other colour option. I stock up on black tanks, tees, basic sweatshirts and jeans all the time and it doesn’t have to cost you a lot.

So with the new season upon us comes the need for new gear… or at least that’s how I rationalize my new purchases. As much as I would love to live somewhere that’s warm all-year round, I really do love fall, primarily for the fashion. Recently, I picked up this satin bomber jacket that I’m totally obsessed with! I’m not sure if it’s the colour or the material (both rarely found in my closet) that drew me to this jacket but whatever it was I’m glad that it did. I opted to pair it with some khaki joggers, a long sleeve tee and some classic reeboks. Super clean, super casual aka the perfect everyday look for fall. What I’m Wearing
