Back on the blog today, with a long overdue post (sigh… I know). I owe you guys a life update, which I’ll get to really soon but for now I’ve got a style post that I hope y’all will like! I wore this look the other night for my birthday dinner with two of my girlfriends.
I love the simplicity of this look as well as the effortless vibes it’s giving. This summer you’ll definitely see me in a lot of crop tops and loose fit denim – consider this your warning, lol.
This could be worn in the day but it’s definitely more of an evening vibe for me ie; dinner dates, drinks with friends or even for an event.
I know that you may recognize this look from my ET Canada segment last month, but I remixed it… a little, lol. On the show, I wore this blazer with wide-leg trousers and chunky boots and this time, IRL – I opted for a slimmer pant and paired it with classic Saint Laurent Wyatt Harness boots.
This look is a vibe, and I’m loving this vibe. I promise you that if I’m attending any weddings this SS22, this or something similar to this, is what I’m wearing. It’s sexy, yet sophisticated and still comfortable – I rarely compromise comfort for fashion.
Not much more for me to say here, other than keep scrolling to see more pics bb’s!
Whew, chile! I swear to you if there’s one thing in life that loves to take its time is spring in Canada, lol. I love my outfit but I’m so ready for spring-like temperatures.
I’m going to keep this post short. This was a cute casual look I put together the other day for an outing that I ended up really liking and decided that I had to shoot + share with y’all.
I love a good (faux) shearling jacket moment and this one I picked up recently from H&M and it’s very cozy. It pairs well with this otherwise all-black look and adds the right amount of contrast if you ask me.
This look is giving cozy and casual yet still put together, so don’t try me, lol. I hope that you guys like it.
Three posts in less than two-weeks, who am I? lol. I’m not even going to try and analyze it, let’s just go with the flow.
I shot this look last week and I’m really into it. It’s simple, yet put together. I’m really into high waisted + wide leg denim at the moment and these are probably my favourite pair (Zara). I decided to keep the colour scheme light and used this #EditionByJohnBoyega cardigan as my statement piece + pop of colour.
This is definitely a day outfit. Something that I’d wear to run errands, attend a press preview, and to a lunch date.
I told y’all I’d be back soon and here I am… back with another street style post! I shot this look yesterday and I’m in LOVE with it. The main pieces are from the recently dropped #EditionByJohnBoyega for H&M collection (coat, vest + pants).
I love this collection because I think it’s very diverse but at the same time there’s a cohesive element to it that ties each piece together. These are three of my favourite items that I could’ve styled each piece separately, but I loved the way they came together for this fit. This is my “Get The Bag” Autumn edition, lol.
So, you know the saying ‘when you make a plan, God laughs’ I feel like that’s been my life for the last year and a bit. Like most of you, I had v big plans for 2020 (like, life changing BIG) and then covid happened and everything fell apart.
I was emotional, lost and not sure how to process everything. It felt like my life was unraveling right in front of my eyes and there was nothing I could do about it. I’m a low key planner (I know, odd for a Gemini) and I’m not one to play the victim role. My entire life, I have always found a way but with all of the restrictions and health concerns that covid brought, I really couldn’t think of a way to pivot.
Long story short, I hit a very low point, to which I decided to stop trying to control things that were out of my control and to start listening attentively to the Universe.
Fast forward to 2021 and I’ve ended up magically on the west coast of Canada – Vancouver, BC to be exact. I won’t go into details yet, but just know that it’s beautiful here, very different from Toronto but beautiful none the less.
I’ve been taking some time to just take in everything that this city has to offer (nature included, who am I?!?!) and finding + rebuilding myself.
After being in Toronto, which is one of the most locked down places in North America, it feels good to be able to have some normalcy back in my life (Vancouver is still taking precautions with covid but the restrictions are a lot less strict).
I’m going to come back to this in another post but we’re going to pause this topic for now until I’m able to share the rest with you at a later date!
So, that being said. You guys know that I LOVE me a travel diary, so doing one (or more) for Vancouver is a must! My girl Jaime, happens to be here as well so we’ve been making the most of our time, exploring and getting to know the city.
As always, I’ve snapped some pics along the way for you. Some street style, scenery, eats + everything in between all #ShotoniPhone – I hope you like it!
wow, can you believe it guys? I’m back on the blog within the span of a few days, I don’t know who I’ve become but I like him, lol.
On the real though, I hope that you guys are doing well. I’ve taken a lot of time to myself to reflect on life and make some changes that I hope will help bring some needed positivity + steps in the right direction in regards to my personal life, career and everything in between.
Mental health is no joke and this past year has really tested me in ways that I couldn’t have imagined. I’m happy to say that I do believe that I’ve turned a new leaf and I’m in a much better space mentally and spiritually but trust me, it wasn’t easy. I’ll share more details about my journey another day but I want you all to know that life is v precious and you should never feel ashamed to ask for help.
Also, never give up on your dreams, no matter how out of reach they might seem! If no one else believes in you, I believe in you and what’s meant to be will be, I promise you that!
Anyways, this is supposed to be a style blog and here I am talking about my feelings and no mention of my style, lol. I’ve beeeeen living in sweats for too long but I’m making a promise to myself that I’ll switch it up more often, at least for the blog.
Happy February, happy new year, happy 2020! I’m back on the blog today with an impromptu style post. I’ve been fairly MIA for the month of January on all of my channels. I really needed a minute to get things in order and put in some behind-the-scenes work on a few things that you’ll start seeing shortly!
Anyways, let’s get into this look, sigh…it’s such a vibe. I got this Houndstooth-patterned Coat from H&M two weeks ago and I’m in love with it! I’ve been dressing it down a lot but today I decided to dress it up and really test its versatility. I wore this look to a fashion related meeting followed by an early dinner and I felt comfortable in both settings.
Look who decided to come back on the blog before the end of 2019! Honestly, I am more than ready to kick off the new year. 2019 was a very tumultuous year for me. A lot of ups, a lot of downs, and A LOT of time spent figuring out what I would like to do next!
That being said, I’m happy to say that in the new year I’ll be working on a new series that’ll be incorporating a lot more of my personality, other people and highlighting my style work!
I promise that this will be something that you guys are going to love. My team and I are in the process of ironing everything out and the more we flesh out the details the more excited I am for you guys to see it!
Enough about that though, let’s get into this look! When I say that I am in love with this coat, I really mean that I am in LOVE with this coat. It’s my latest item from COSand I’ve been wearing it non stop.
It’s the perfect coat to throw over a casual outfit that just elevates the entire look. This is a vibe that I’d wear to run errands, attend Sunday brunch or go on a solo movie date. I hope you like it!
