One of the most important things that I take into consideration when joining a gym is the diversity of classes offered. If you’ve been to Equinox, you know first hand how seriously they take their group classes. You can try anything from yoga to boxing, pilates to precision running, athletic conditioning to high intensity training. As for me, I’m a sucker for anything that gets my heart rate up and keeps me sweating from the beginning to the end, so I tend to lean towards the high intensity classes. MetCon3 happens to be one of those classes and has very quickly become one of my favourites to attend.
Using varied equipment each class, the only thing that remains consistent is the blue print on how the class is going to run and knowing that you’re going to walk out of their drenched in sweat. Each class starts with a warm up, followed by a set of exercises that you’ll repeat 3 times throughout the workout targeting all areas of your body, ending off with a cool down. MetCon3 is one of those programs that it doesn’t matter what level of fitness you’re at, you’ll find it difficult while participating but you’ll feel amazing once its completed. If you’re looking for a new way to spice up your regular training routine, this is one class that I’d recommend taking for a test drive!

Last friday, Catalyst Health & Christian Confidential hosted an intimate fitness event titled ‘Sweat With Christian.’ If you’re at all like me, I find it a bit harder to stay on track with my workout schedule during the colder months and rely on group classes to help keep me motivated when I can’t necessarily find it within myself. Danielle from Catalyst & I came up with a wicked workout routine with a focus on legs and cardio for the #SweatWithChristian attendees. Did I mention that the 1 hour workout was fuelled by nothing but the best from Beyoncé?! Take a glimpse into what went down at Sweat With Christian.
