As much as my love for style influences my purchases, my love for comfort comes in as a very close second. I have a low tolerance for being too hot, too cold, too constricted basically anything that makes feel uncomfortable ( I wish I was kidding lol). This look that I put together is the epitome of style + comfort. If you ever see me running around the city in the morning or headed to the gym, chances are that I’m wearing a look that resembles this. It’s clean, put together without being ‘put together’ (it’s never cool to look sloppy) and super comfortable. If you’re in the market for some new ‘comfy’ clothes, these might be some good options for ya!
Hi guys, I just wanted to start this post off by wishing all my readers a Happy New Year! I hope that the holidays left you guys feeling loved and well rested to start 2015 with a bang. This being my first style post of 2015, I wanted to incorporate fashion that everyone can find some form of inspiration from and that also supports one of the most common lifestyle resolutions … going back to the gym. For me, I think that what you decided to wear to and from the gym are just as important as what you decide to wear while you complete your workout. Your pre/post workout outfit should be 1. easy to throw on 2. something that you feel comfortable in 3. dark or neutral colours (grey and black are my favourites) 4. Stylish – it’s never okay to trade style for comfort when you can have them both. For this laid back look, I paired these black ‘Tech’ fleece joggers, with an oversized muscle tee, a ‘Tech’ varsity jacket and finished the look with some Flyknit sneakers. What I’m Wearing
The temperature continues to drop in Toronto and although I’d love to just travel somewhere warm for the whole winter season unfortunately it’s not an option. So in between planned mini vacations, i’ll have to find stylish solutions to stay warm & my good friends at Nike recently introduced me to some of their latest pieces from their Holiday Sportswear Collection that will do exactly that. I fell in love with the ‘Tech Fleece Aeroloft Windrunner‘ jacket which comes in two colorways, is reversible and weighs close to nothing. I’ve already become familiar with the Aeroloft 800 technology from last years winter running collection, which does really help keep the heat in. – Once I saw that it was incorporated into this jacket it already became a top pick for me. I spend a fair amount of time outdoors especially when I’m shooting for the blog and I usually have a lot to carry so this jacket really works for my lifestyle by barely adding any more weight and keeping me warm in between outfit changes. Check out the rest of the collection here & let me know what you think!
