What’s It Giving?

Sigh… today was one of those ‘What Am I Doing With My Life’ days, and truthfully, just like Sway, I don’t have the answer, lol. On the plus side, the sun was shining and seeing that the decent weather days are numbered in Toronto, I decided to take advantage of it.

What’s this look giving? It’s giving me, pretty on the outside and super EMO on the inside lol! I use my site + social channels as a way to express how I feel so on days that I don’t feel like I have it all together and I decide to post, I’m going to be authentic.

That being said, just because the pandemic is getting the best of me, doesn’t mean I won’t still give you LEWKS (when I decide to post lol).

Super simple outfit but with a touch of edge. I recently got these leather boots from COS and I’m loving them. I think they pair so well with these cargo pants and the cropped knit sweater from H&M Studio.

Y’all know I love accessorizing and I feel like incorporating some of my chunky jewellery and the pop of colour from my toque really elevated this everyday look.

I’ll be back soon, and hopefully in a better mood :)>

Like Riding A Bike

Damn Daddy, it’s been a minute since I’ve worn these boots and my feet aren’t used to them at all. Sigh, I thought it would be like riding a bike but definitely not, lol.

Anyways, this is a cute little look I put together + shot the other day. I’m really digging the whole wide-leg denim vibe these days and the way they add drama to every outfit.

I wore this to an outdoor brunch with my girlfriends but I would also wear this to a casual meeting or for a day of shopping. It’s also giving me a Parisian vibe, which you all know I l-o-v-e!

Don’t Keep Me Waiting

@christianconfidential Happy February, happy new year, happy 2020! I’m back on the blog today with an impromptu style post.  I’ve been fairly MIA for the month of January on all of my channels. I really needed a minute to get things in order and put in some behind-the-scenes work  on a few things that you’ll start seeing shortly!

Anyways, let’s get into this look, sigh…it’s such a vibe. I got this Houndstooth-patterned Coat from H&M two weeks ago and I’m in love with it! I’ve been dressing it down a lot  but today I decided to dress it up and really test its versatility.  I wore this look to a fashion related meeting followed by an early dinner and I felt comfortable in both settings.

I hope you guys like it!

Le Pliage LGP by Longchamp

@christianconfidential

I’m back on the blog today to talk about a look that I shot the other day, that I love! I actually shot a look very similar to this while I was living in London but dressed it up this time around by adding a black turtleneck,  suede Saint Laurent boots and some new accessories.

I recently got the Le Pliage LGP belt bag from Longchamp and couldn’t wait to style it. I love how it pairs with this look, especially over my patent jacket – it’s such a vibe!

This is an outfit that I would confidently wear to a show for fashion week, an event or even to a chic restaurant. I’m one of those people that doesn’t shy away from standing out, especially with my outfit selections!

Toronto Home Tour Pt. 1

Christian Confidential Well guys… I think I’m officially becoming an adult. It’s taken a long time to get here but I think I’m slowly morphing into one. I came to this conclusion after moving back to Toronto and noticing how  picky I was when it came to deciding on how I’d like to decorate my new space. Honestly, beforehand I never really gave interior decorating much attention, as long as my home was modern, clean and minimal, I was cool with it.

This time around, I really wanted my space to reflect my personality, my interests and my distinguished style. It took me a while to really figure out what I wanted but two months later, I’m finally content with the overall vibe and aesthetic of the living room.

The words that I would use to describe the space are; minimal, clean, light, cozy, feminine, masculine, hints of luxury, fashion forward, and thought out.

I really wanted to create a space that I would be comfortable in, that would really showcase who I am and was welcoming. The first thing that I purchased was a floor length mirror. I knew that I didn’t want  to have a tv in the living room and would much rather prefer a statement wall that would include a full length mirror (which helps in making the space seem larger) and accent table (Terrace Side Table from West Elm)  that would house some of my favourite items.

Christian ConfidentialChristian ConfidentialYves Saint Laurent Christian ConfidentialThe second thing I purchased, which took the longest to both decide on and have delivered, was my couch. I wrestled between getting a light or dark coloured couch FOREVER! Ideally, if I wasn’t accident prone I would’ve opted for a lighter colour but knowing how I am, I thought getting a darker colour, would be more practical. I ended up getting this  couch from Structube and ultimately, I’m happy with my decision.

Once I finalized the couch and creating the statement wall featuring the mirror, everything else came together rather easily. I’m not afraid of mixing  gold with silver so choosing the gold accent table that I opted for and putting it beside the mirror (which, I purchased from Ikea)made sense to me, aesthetically.

I decided to get a clear/glass coffee table to provide the illusion of more space, which I also think compliments the floor length mirror’s silver finishing. Christian ConfidentialWhat’s left? The carpet, accessories and art work. In regards to the carpet, I wanted something light in colour and felt good under the feet. Truthfully, I like this carpet but I’m also open to a carpet with more of a  silky/shine finish and may end up changing it later on.

In terms of accessories, which was probably my favourite stuff to pick out, I got a lot of them from H&M Home.  Naturally, being a fan of the brand for their diverse men’s offering, I was excited to see what they had in store for their home collection. From the cushions on the couch, to the decorations on the coffee table and candles and vases on the accent table – I was able to select them all from H&M!

Last but not least, the artwork on the wall. Sigh, they’re both from an artist that goes by the name Peytil who’s located in Sweden. I originally got these two prints for my flat in London and I just couldn’t leave them behind. I am beyond in love with them and in so many ways, I feel like they totally reflect my personality and complete the space. If you’re looking for something some art work to spice up your space, I’d recommend checking out his site as he has so many great options. The two that I got are titled; Matador and Jules – I also have my eyes on The Gemini print as well and he ships worldwide.

I hope that you guys like this post as much as I enjoyed putting my living room together! I’ll be back once, I’ve completed the whole space with a home tour – probably via Youtube though! Stay tuned for some fall fashion content coming soon and scroll down for more pics!

A Powder Blue Moment

@christianconfidential Hey guys, I hope that you’re all doing well – I still cannot believe that it’s September already! It feels like just yesterday I decided to move back to Toronto from London – sigh, time is moving so quickly! Anyways enough of wondering where the time is going, let’s get right  into this look.

I’ve actually had this powder blue double breasted blazer from ASOS  in my closet since the beginning of the summer, and I was waiting for the right moment to wear/shoot it. I don’t know what made it the right moment this week, but it was, and I’m in LOVE with the outcome! I wanted this piece to be the statement of the entire outfit so I kept everything else very sleek and minimal. Since it’s oversized, I could’ve went with a skinny pant but I decided to add volume to the look by pairing it with some wide leg trousers. Which in my opinion,  really accentuates the overall  silhouette of the look.

This is one of those outfits that’s very versatile and can be worn to a  business meeting, a fancy lunch at L’Avenue (I have Paris on my mind, sigh) or to an early evening event  (I wore this to the first day of Toronto Fashion Week). I hope that you guys are into  it!

Lace-Effect

@christianconfidential So, I really made the most of my time while in New York and even got a chance to shoot some street style content for the blog. This is a look that I put together, incorporating a trend that came up a lot during Men’s Week (New York, London, Milan & Paris) – lace shirts and blazers. The moment that I saw ASAP Rocky sporting this trend, I was on the hunt for the perfect rendition to style my own way. I decided to dress up the trend this time with some wide-leg trousers, statement sunglasses and my signature harness boots.

I’m really happy with the way this look turned out, it’s definitely not going to be for everyone but for the fashion forward thinking guy, I’d suggest giving it a shot!

New York Photo Diary

@christianconfidentialIf you’ve been a long time reader of my blog, then you know to expect a photo diary (almost), every time that I travel. I love creating these type of posts because, it allows me to relive my travels whenever I want and also encourages me to seek beautiful moments wherever I am.

Sigh, where do I even begin.. I love New York and this trip really made me realize how much I’ve missed it! It’s honestly one of those cities that awakens me no matter what season, reason for visiting or the length of time I’m there. As I mentioned in my previous post, I was visiting New York for World Pride with Mastercard, which was such a cool experience on its own.  Even though this was a work trip, I did have some free time to explore the city, eat some good food and do a little bit of partying!

As always, I snapped a few photos along the way and have linked some of my favourite places I visited throughout this trip.

A lot of changes have been happening (AGAIN  haha) in my life and I’ll be back to share them with you shortly! Honestly, 2019 has been the year of change for me and although it hasn’t always been pretty, I finally feel like something amazing is on the horizon for me. If any of you guys are dealing with uncertainty or having a difficult time adjusting to change, just know that it’s only temporary and if you hold on a little longer you’ll get through it and be better for it!

Make It Summer But In Black

@christianconfidential

Hey guys,  guess who’s back with another look! Honestly it feels good to be shooting content again, especially with this amazing weather we’ve been having this week in London! My friend Natasha and I went out for afternoon drinks on a cute terrace in South Kensington, called April’s Cafe, and this was the look I opted for. I wanted something that embraced summer but was still super chic. I went for an all-black look (screams summer, I know) but switched it up by wearing a shirt with a floral/plant print. To me, this was a great way to add a little more fun to my look, rather than playing it safe with a plain black tee or shirt.

I love the way this outfit came together, it’s easy, it’s classy and just totally my vibe at the moment. Check out  a few more pics below!
